They sit and they watch each other, with their over-sized fish eyes, blinking like the automatic weight-tied eyelids of porcelain dolls, heavy and mechanical, but their eyes only seem big - for their faces are bony and pointed, pointing into drastic triangles under their prominent cheek bones and large, batting, dark-rimmed eyes, the upside down pyramids built to celebrate their waste, their disease.

Seven StepsIn alleyway airs, you say "Look, the moon's heart-shaped tonight..."  With one hand on my spine, the other flat under my chin,  you force me onto my toes to look at the freakish sight.  "Things are changing." You turn, you say, "It's not your dream we're in."
